It is official. Color research company Pantone, released their color of the year for 2013 and it is a jewel. Emerald green that is.

I happen to love green. Never met a green I didn’t like, or at least not very many. I sort of figure, God covered the entire earth in green – it’s got to be good. So for me, this year’s new hue is a winner. I’m not likely to go re-decorating my house any time soon, but I do like it.
Emerald is fresh and lively and will look fabulous against the gray walls we are seeing everywhere. It will also look amazing with white, like a breath of fresh air! With cobalt blue it becomes sultry and exotic.
Every year Pantone comes up with a fancy way to describe the new color to us. This description often ties in to the economic or world realities. This year though, it’s
“Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”
To me, that pretty much sums up green! It always makes me feel happy and at home.
