Pink is the Feng Shui color associated with romance. I can hear you now “But wait, you just finished telling me that rooms need to balance the masculine and the feminine!’. That is definitely true in my books, especially in bedrooms, but that doesn’t mean that pink can’t be used, it just means you might not want to paint the whole room in it (though I had one client who did just that and absolutely loved it).
Here are some great ways to inject a little pink, without tipping the balance.
Use accessories. If the relationship area of the home falls into a family room or other public space, get creative. Pink comes in lots of different values and hues beyond the bubblegum. Check out this pretty and contemporary room with subtle pink accents. The black piano and dark floors help to balance it out, keeping it from seeming overly sweet.

And of course you can always just add a pretty bunch of pink flowers. Simple, easy and guaranteed to brighten your day! I think these little pink rosebuds floating in tumblers are perfect.
