February is a month associated with Valentine’s day, violets and amethyst, the stone of love and clarity. Natural and man made crystals are often brought into an environment for Feng Shui purposes. Leaded crystal spheres are widely used to open up a home’s blockages, much like an acupuncture needle opens the body. Additionally, natural crystals can be used to bring certain energetic qualities to a space, and Amethyst, February’s birthstone, is one of the best.
Photo SourceAmethyst has a high vibrational frequency and is appropriate for spaces like meditation or prayer rooms, yoga studios, and quiet corners where one might retreat just to go inward. I include a piece of amethyst on the table beside my meditation chair. It increases clarity and allows for deeper connection with the divine. It can also help you to stay more focused so it is a good stone for a library or study area.
Sleeping with amethyst can open you to your own dream world and can be helpful for sleeplessness. Tucking it between the mattress and box spring at the head of the bed keeps it in place and close to the third eye.
Photo SourceAmethyst can also be protective so if you feel sort of vulnerable placing a large specimen at your front door can be helpful. It can transmute negativity and fear to a vibration of love.
This lovely stone brings the power of increased knowledge and intuition, along with the zone appropriate color of purple, to any wealth zone in the home. It’s purple hue has long been associated with all things noble and royal. Isn’t that the way you’d like to feel in your own home?
